What are the benefits of being a retained client?

Our retained packages are for client's wanting a consultancy-first approach avoids the horror stories of choosing the wrong agency or freelancer.

You only commit to one month at a time and can spread that commitment between a number of specialists only when you need them, getting you the results your business requires while removing:

  • No need to pay a whole month's salary for a handful of realistically productive days
  • Additional payroll expenses and employee benefits

What budgets and timelines do you work with for ad hoc work?

Our minimum level of engagement for ad hoc work is £3,000.

If you're just starting out and you're on a tight budget then contact Mike on LinkedIn and he'll try to point you in the direction of a freelancer who might be able to help.

To give you an idea of time – an average website design and build would take from 5 to 8 weeks, depending on the exact scope.

How are your retained costs calculated?

Our specialists start from £390 per day and the minimum monthly package is 4 days per month.

A retainer fee retains the availability of our speciailists, so it must be paid up front.

How do we request a proposal?

The first thing to do is to fill out our a new project brief so we have an initially understanding of your business and customers. After that we'll have a conversation to ascertain if we'd be a good fit for your needs, either over a video call with the team or over a coffee in our Manchester office.

Will our website be GDPR compliant?

At the start of 2020, GDPR changed and became far more strict to protect people’s security and privacy, and there are rules that website designers need to follow. To make this easier for all our clients, GDPR compliance comes as standard. All the necessary notices, opt-in and privacy policies will be provided.

Do you support in-house marketing teams?

Absolutely! This is the beauty of our business model. You only hire the specialists you need, for the time you need them each month.

Do you use website templates?

No, we don't.

Template are a great inexpensive way to get your brand out there to start with, when finances are tight. But as growing business, you have to continuously improve your pressence and online experience based on a constant flow of feedback from your visitors and customers.

Will our website be responsive?

Not only will your website look great and perform well on all 3 device types – desktop, tablet and mobile but it will be designed and developed separately to meet the different user behaviour which comes with each kind of device user.

Do you offer SEO?

Yes, we do. We've got a number of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) specialists in the Fort & Co tribe, each specialising in their own platforms of interest.

E-commerce.

Which product management systems do you support?

We have Magento, Shopify Plus, WooCommerce and Webflow backend developers on hand. If you require another platform or have you own custom build, this is where our consulting comes in. We have a vast network and the knowledge to source you the best and most reliable, without relying on an expensive and biased recruitment agency.
